Temp of the Year 2008 & Work Experience Intern of the Year 2008
The annual Temp of the Year Excellence Awards took place at No 1 Leicester Square on June 4th with around 180 people in attendance.
The Excellence Awards represents everything that we at Pathfinders value in our candidates and we were delighted to celebrate outstanding work and commitment being delivered on a daily basis by our candidates within our media clients.
The winner of the
Temp of the Year Award Excellence Award 2008 is Vanessa Russell. Vanessa was commended by our healthcare communications client for being bright, personable, able to hit the ground running and take on a variety of tasks. Everyone she worked with commented on how helpful she was and how thorough her work was. She was a true ambassador for Pathfinders.

The winner of the
Work Experience Intern of the Year 2008 is Hannah Bower. Hannah has been tipped by our consumer PR client to have all the attributes to become a successful PR Consultant. Her personality and approachability combined with her willingness to learn and help in any situation ensured she made the most of her placement. Our client praised her for her strong communications skills, being organised and a great member of the team.
Both our winners received a pair of cineworld cinema tickets, an Anya Hindmarch leather oyster card holder and a bottle of champagne each.

We received an exceptionally high standard of nominations this year and here is just a few comments we received about some of our other nominated candidates.
Jacqui Shaw
Jacqui was able to adapt to her new environment quite quickly. She handed everything very conscientiously and in an upbeat manner. It was easy for me to slip back into my role upon my return as she had done such a great job and had prepared a fabulous handover.
Executive Assistant to MD - International TV Broadcaster
Clare Garwood
We were genuinely impressed by Clare’s abilities and enthusiasm. We feel she raised the bar in terms of what we expect from a temp and an employer would be lucky to have her.
Director, Beauty PR Agency
Emily Lehmann
Very hard working, nothing is too much trouble, just gets on with things. We always ask for her back to cover reception, one of the best temps we’ve had!
Head of Front of House & Events - Landor
Jennifer Breen
From her initial 3 day a week assignment she is now full time and a much liked member of the team working across the whole press office proving that she’s not shy of hard work.
PR & Marketing Manager - International TV Broadcaster
Harry Francis
He has put in 100% and performed over and above his stated job description. He has worked in a busy environment with very little handover or instruction and rose to the challenges presented to him.
Office Manager (PR Office) - Westminster City Council
